“Currently, cyberspace is a new world besides land, sea, and air. Just like in the real world, cyberspace presents great opportunities for human welfare, but also holds serious threats in it,” he said. According to Indra Gunawan, the formation of “RohilKab – CSIRT” aims to strengthen the cybersecurity system within the Rokan Hilir Regency Government. This team will focus on prevention, detection, handling, and rapid response to cybersecurity incidents that have the potential to disrupt the activities of the electronic government system. “With this recognition from BSSN, we hope that the team can work optimally in maintaining cybersecurity, especially in securing the activities of the electronic government system. That way, digital-based public services can run smoothly without significant obstacles,” said Indra. Furthermore, he invited all stakeholders to support the performance of “RohilKab – CSIRT” in order to create a safe and trusted digital environment in Rokan Hilir Regency. “Synergy between the government, society, and related sectors is needed to mitigate various cyber risks and threats that are increasingly developing,” he added. Meanwhile, this recognition is a step forward for Rokan Hilir Regency in realizing a safe and efficient digital transformation. With the formation of CSIRT RohilKab, the Rokan Hilir Regency Government now has a more systematic structure in handling cyber incidents while increasing public trust in information technology-based services. BSSN itself encourages each region to form a CSIRT as a proactive effort in creating national cyber resilience. This recognition also proves the readiness of Rokan Hilir Regency in facing the challenging digital era, especially amidst the rapid development of technology and increasing cybersecurity threats. With the presence of RohilKab – CSIRT, it is hoped that Rokan Hilir Regency can be an example for other regions in maintaining cybersecurity, as well as providing excellent digital services that are free from interference. “We are committed to continuing to strengthen the cybersecurity system in Rokan Hilir to support a safe digital transformation. Cybersecurity is not only the government’s task, but also a shared responsibility. Therefore, we hope that collaboration between all parties can be established well to create a safe and trusted digital ecosystem,” concluded Indra Gunawan.
